Keisha Menears-Wilson is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. She is the only child born to the union of Deacon Mario Menears & Reverend Jacquelyn Menears. Her family showed her love and introduced her to the Christian faith at a very young age. Keisha accepted Christ as her Savior at the tender age of seven. In 2006, as an adult ready for a more intimate relationship with the Savior, Keisha reaffirmed her walk with Christ being baptized again at Grace Community Bible Church where she has been a faithful member since 2005. “Train a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it,” (Proverbs 22:6)
Excelling academically, Keisha was educated in the St. Louis Public School system and has furthermore obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Mass Communications, Public Relations from Grambling State University (Grambling, Louisiana). For the past 16 years she has made her career in the Pharmaceutical Sales industry teaching Diabetes and its treatment options to medical professionals across various states. In 2013 Keisha earned a Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology from Walden University.
From a very young age Keisha has always been drawn to learning more about the word of God and sharing it with others. She has enjoyed serving the Lord in various capacities, serving faithfully as: Adult and Children’s Bible Teacher, Usher, Women’s Ministry Leader and serving alongside her husband as Married Couple Ministry Leaders. In May of 2011 at Grace Community Bible Church (“Grace”), under the watchful tutelage and shepherding of Pastor John W. Sykes, Keisha accepted God’s call to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Since accepting her call to the ministry, Minister Wilson has had the privilege to lead, teach and preach the word of God in various settings as His call has commanded.
Minister Wilson & her family relocated to Houston, TX in January of 2014 where they joined and became active servants at the Lighthouse Church of Humble, under the dynamic leadership of Senior Pastor Keion D. Henderson. In March of 2015 Pastor Henderson found Keisha faithful to her call licensing her to preach the Gospel. Minister Wilson was one of the First Women Ministers to be licensed in the Lighthouse Church History, “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season,” (2 Tim 4:2).
After years of tirelessly working for the validation of others, Keisha realized that pleasing everyone was impossible. Some people will never support, encourage, or even accept you. All acceptance has to come from God and from within. The journey from insecurity to confidence is what inspired and revealed Keisha’s true purpose. From desiring man’s validation to receiving God’s confirmation, Keisha Speaks was born.
Keisha uses her passion for words, along with her educational training in public relations and organizational psychology to teach, coach, pray, and minister. Keisha is committed to empowering, encouraging, and inspiring people to prevent them from falling victim to the approval of others.
God blessed Minster Wilson to be the President and one of the founding members of Saved Intercessing Sistas Prays Inc. (S.I.S Prays Inc.) a national telephonic prayer line with greater than 100 members in various states across the country. The prayer line was born so that women of like precious faith could intercede, uplift, and love one-another as the spirit leads, while embracing a sisterly bond in Christ.
While God has imparted Keisha with a passion for serving the Lord and for ministering to his people, she believes that her greatest call and most significant blessing is being wife to her husband, Cornelius “Chip” Wilson and mother to her four children Joey-18, Kori-17, Kyndel-15, and Caden-13.
Minister Wilson is dedicated to uplifting women, encouraging men as the Head & Priest of their homes and advocating for strong family units by speaking God’s immutable word and candidly sharing her own testimonies of God’s unfailing love and unconditional forgiveness.
